RESIDENSET by AFROINSTITUTIONEN

In the summer of 2022, Afroinstitutionen inhabited a house in the Swedish archipelago. Day by day, the amount of melanated people increased on the island. Our laughters grew louder while our shoulders relaxed. As part of Afroinstitutionen’s mission of building a physical place in Gothenburg that will outlive its founders, RESIDENSET aims to explore and create spaces through an afrofuturistic lens for Black people in Gothenburg. RESIDENSET has been carried out annually since 2022.
